ENA Resources

  • ENA National website – The official website of the national Emergency Nurses Association.
  • ENA Foundation – supporting research and education in emergency nursing. Please consider giving.
  • ENA Connect – The official forums of the Emergency Nurses Association. Replaces the old list-servs. Connect with fellow nurses and leaders, share documents, and find mentors.
  • BCEN – The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing. Administers the CEN, CTRN, CPEN, TCRN, and CFRN certifications. Your dashboard now also includes a transcript manager for tracking CE courses, presentations, academic credit, preceptorships, authoring, item writing, poster presentations, and clinical hours.

ENA Practice Resource Library

The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Practice Resource Library is a comprehensive collection of evidence-based materials designed to support emergency nursing professionals in delivering safe and effective patient care. Accessible through ENA University, this library offers a wide array of resources, including clinical practice guidelines, position statements, toolkits, infographics, and topic briefs.

Mental Health and Suicide Prevention

  • Suicide Prevention Washington – a DOH website about the State Suicide Prevention Plan with resources for providers, relatives, and patients.
  • 1-800-273-8255 (TALK) is the 24-hour Suicide Prevention Lifeline
  • 9-8-8 – This number will work as a 911 for mental health crisis, and will route to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Active nationwide in July 2022. Learn more here.
  • Crisis Text Line – text “HOME” to 741741 to chat with a live Crisis Counselor 24/7. They also release interesting statistics and visualizations at crisistrends.org.
